Simonetta Sapone: senza tituli

In her textile works, the artist seeks to redefine the boundaries between painting, object and drawing. With seemingly playful ease, she composes her aesthetically perfected miniatures. The interplay of colours and shapes provides viewers with a pictorial space in which they can breathe. The individual qualities of the textile materials used play just as important a narrative role as the abstract compositions. The embroideries were created in collaboration with Antonello Magiera's sketches of organic spaceships.
