





















The artist‘s reworkings, inspired by the tagging, street and pop art can be understood as a contemporary response to the cultural history of drawing, from classical nude drawings to penny dreadfuls. With her taggin' pens named "Dope Drippers" she humorously counteracts illustrations on book or comic pages that she finds at flea markets or book stores. In the graffiti scene, tagging serves not only as a signature, but also as a visible form of networking, communicating and marking of territory in urban space. It is precisely this function that is employed here in an act of irreverent cultural appropriation.
