Private Land
The consecutive photo series “Privatland” is an exploration of the temporary and intermediate states in the fractal urban structure. Between the past and future, at the same time more and less visible, however omnipresent, these places open up for a certain time, in which they appear to be conveniently arranged in the proper temporal and spatial order. It can be seen as a insight into the psychological explanation that gives a location a social history, one that could exist anywhere. The underlying tension within the social creation myth is that between civilization and wilderness, understood as urbanization and homesteading (see Western), is found here as silent temporal feedback – full of beauty.
