sound of silence/Dove

The performances  ‘Sound of Silence’ at 'Palazzo Ulmo' in Taranto and 'DOVE' at 'Club der polnischen Versager' in Berlin thematized Holocaust/Shoah, Forced Labour and Fascism. In Taranto I chose three particular photo series of German locations. In Berlin I chose Taranto and Puglia locations. In addition I projected a series of a bus stop in Taranto where the word "Dux (Duce)" is rythmically painted on the wall since Mussolini's time. All series are addressing the transgenerational transmission of trauma among the perpetrators in a fascist state. The lecture part of the performance focused on that. In the projections of the different series I sang along with Kinky Friedman 'Ride 'Em Jewboy', The Chromatics 'Sound of Silence', Art Garfunkel 'Bright Eyes'
