Using the monotype technique, which was invented during the Renaissance, the artist focuses on the characteristics of olive trees. In the first step, she uses black oil paint to depict the bark of the trees as a grown landscape. Since our experience of landscape is also a reflection of our soul, the artist is guided both by precise studies and by a direct intuitive gesture of connection. The artistic process is further deepened by means of a watercolour glaze applied tothe reverse side and completed with a layer of acrylic paint on the front.
