Angelo Bellanova‘s ink drawings, which are also used as stencils in the series ‘Il polmone Blue,’ attempt to give a universal form to the concept of ‘critter’ developed by philosopher and science theorist Donna Haraway. Haraway uses the term ‘critter’ because, unlike the Christian-influenced words “creature” or ‘creature,’ it refers to all life on this planet, from microscopic bacteria to AI, in an equal network. In his visual formulation, the artist is particularly influenced by microscopic images from the world of the oceans. That is where our life originated.
